Humans Are So Mean to Pumpkins
The journey starts with a young couple going on a date in a pumpkin patch; they literally walk all through their house and land, and possibly do some hands stuff too. Then before the young lovers leave, they snatch one of the members of the pumpkin society to bring home. This is not an adoption a pumpkin wants. The remainder of the pumpkin's life includes the humans drawing faces on the pumpkin's skin, then carving shapes into its flesh.
How Do Pumpkin Pies Work?
After the pumpkin dies, the humans rip open the pumpkin's skull and remove its guts. Then they make a pie? Honestly this part is a bit fuzzy. Like how does a pumpkin pie make sense? I guess this is the better question: what part of the pumpkin are humans eating? Also full disclosure, the narrator/writer (that's me!) is a human. Distancing myself from the atrocities of pumpkin torture for when space pumpkins avenge the deaths of Earth pumpkins.
