National Frappe Day

Oct 7, 2020

It's literally just iced coffee.

Get Fancy About Your Iced Coffee

Frappe is Greek iced coffee, which is the same as regular iced coffee. So why say 'frappe' over 'iced coffee'?" Sherlock would tell you the answer is elementary, because it is simple; it's fun to say fancy words that sound funny. If a fancy word is to pretentious, that's no good. But frappe has a nice ring to it. Do you want to keep starting every one of your miserable days with iced coffee? Or you could put on your ascot and have a frappe.

Iced Coffee Isn't Old

Frappe was invented by a Greek dude in the 1950s. That's not that long ago, unless you are reading this thousands of years in the future. Then it was forever ago. Assuming you are in the year 12,000, let me try to explain the significance of frappe: a man managed to take a hot drink, make it cold, and make it taste good. This is no easy feat. Back then people died on the regular because we didn't understand science like you (future reader) do now.
