Candy canes are notorious for their shanking abilities. All it takes is a patient person who likes to lick and suck. You can shave down the end of a candy cane to be a vicious point. Jails won't let prisoners have candy canes for Christmas for this very reason. Is that true? Probably, but you know us, we didn't fact check it. Also it's the day after Christmas, so we're in holiday mood. Literally sucking down candy canes right now, sharpening them for our haters. When the flack comes in, the candy canes come out. You heard me?

If you're stuck in the wilderness, desperate for a way to survive, you can suck down a candy cane into a weapon. Now all you'll need is fire, water, warmer clothes, and the ability to chase a rabbit down on foot in the snow. But the candy cane is the beginning of that journey. Without it, you wouldn't be able to stab the rabbit, or cut off your arm that got trapped between two boulders. It took James Franco 127 hours to chop off his limb because he didn't have a candy cane, so it's a huge advantage to be stuck in the woods with this treat.
