Rice Balls Believe The Ball Is the Best Shape
It's no surprise really, considering we only see rice congregate in balls. They have a natural affinity for the ball shape (also known as a sphere); however, there is a darker reason for them rolling together: they hate all other shapes, and believe the ball to be the one true shape. It's unfortunately true. Lucky for humans, we enjoy eating rice and rice balls. So when they shapeist monsters gather in spheres, humans are there to take them down via eating.
Rice Don't Like The Other Shapes
The hatred that rice possess for other shapes starts with squares and triangles. They have a disdain for dorks and drama, hence why they don't like squares and (love) triangles. It's also difficult for rice to come together and form a square or triangle, because those a 2-D shapes (rice are in 3-D). Through YouTube propaganda, the entire rice community now believes balls are best.
