We've all been there: spent your loot at a diner and you now can't do wash. It happens to everyone - unless you own a home without coin-operated machines. It also won't happen if you are responsible with keeping a regular collection of quarters (aka jingles). That's the lesson of today's episode. Keep your quarters close, and great diners closer.

Lauren Daniels and Brian Durkin jump into the cast hot chatting about all kinds of stuff. Of course they got to give Rango a shout out, since it's the best movie ever. But the story of this podcast really begins when Brian lays down his epic journey of trying to find quarters on a Sunday to do wash. He had to stop at 3 stores within one block to collect the necessary jingles. It was quite the epic journey, and a tale fitting for the podcast. Afterwords, Brian reveals to Lauren that he finally tried Mel's Diner. At the time of the recording they had not been there yet (picture taken later when they went together). Brian discusses his meal and what he joined about the place.
Staying Stocked on Quarters
Don't spend any of your jingles, and you will have jingles. Always buy things that end in one cent, that way you maximize the amount of change you receive. It will also make it very difficult for robbers to rob you, because carrying large bundles of loose change is challenging. No one has ever since a bugler run down the street with the bottom of his shirt filled with nickels. It hasn't happened, and it won't happen to you. These crooks can stuff their pockets with cash money, but quarters forget about it.
You'll eventually have to spend your jingles on doing laundry, but you could solve that problem in two easy ways:
- Buy a house with a free laundry machine
- Don't ever wash or dry your clothes
