The Winner Is Basic
Overall the listeners voted for vanilla the most, but that statement should have an asterisk. Many fans voted vanilla only because it is the best palette for adding toppings, so it's not truly their favorite flavor. Several voters even highlighted that with no toppings, vanilla would not be their favorite. Pistachio and Butter Pecan actually tied for second in mentions. In general, it does appear that more muted flavors won out. Overall in our poll, no one really choose anything heavy on the chocolate. There was also a strong showing for nuts in the ice cream flavor or as a topping.
